Our Story
The Flow Country in the north of Scotland is the largest expanse of blanket bog in Europe. It is an area of wide open landscapes that is special for many reasons. These include its wildlife, and also the role of the underlying peat as a vast carbon store, which plays an important role in the fight against climate change. The Peatlands Partnership is a group of organisations with an interest in the management and future of the peatlands. Most recently the Peatland Partnership has been taking forward the Flow Country World Heritage Project and the Flow Country Green Finance Initiative.
