Flow Country World Heritage Volunteers 2024

As part of the World Heritage Volunteers Initiative, we're hosting a group of young people in the Flow Country 10th - 21st August.

Open to 18-30 year olds, the programme combines hands-on restoration work with community engagement and educational activities.

Birds of the Flow Country

As part of a new series of blogs, we’ll be hearing from a variety of stakeholders within The Flow Country Partnership team who are supporting the nomination of the Flow Country as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. First off, Milly from the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) will be covering the diverse range of bird species found across the Flow Country and why the blanket bog is key to thriving populations.

Project Officer Needed for Flow Country Green Finance Initiative

Join the Flow Country Partnership team in a rewarding role as a Project Officer. This part-time position (28 hours/week) offers a salary of £27,000 p.a. (£33,750 FTE) and is central to advancing peatland restoration in Scotland’s Flow Country.
