Friends & Family Volunteering at Forsinard

Have you ever wanted to volunteer but would like to share the fun with a group of friends or members of your family? Perhaps your Uni Conservation Society for a project week, or your workmates for a team building exercise? Perhaps your family for a new experience in the great outdoors? RSPB Scotland have an exciting new opportunity at Forsinard, where they manage the largest (and still expanding) RSPB reserve in the UK. They are looking for small groups of enthusiastic residential volunteers for six specific weeks in 2019 to assist with our busy habitat restoration and monitoring programme, wildlife surveys and practical management works. You will stay in our new Field Centre (bunkrooms) right on the reserve, surrounded by fantastic wildlife, five minutes walk from Forsinard train station.
We have six specific weeks on offer:
17-24 August 2019
24-31 August 2019
7-14 September 2019
14-21 September 2019
12-19 October 2019
19-26 October 2019
All of you will need to be at least 18 yrs old, and have a keen interest in birds and conservation. You will need to have plenty of enthusiasm and flexibility and be able to walk long distances over bogs and moorland, working outdoors in all weathers. The ability to work in a remote area and as part of a small, flexible team is essential. Some map and compass navigation skills are desirable.
